Six Months
Today is 6 months since our precious Briella Grace got to live out her ‘Imagine If’ poem that she wrote about heaven. She wanted to talk to the Bible characters and ask them what it was like to see, hear and truly trust God. It is so hard to believe that she isn’t hanging out with us laughing, doing gymnastics, and loving on us.
The tension of the pain and grief we feel along with knowing that God is good and keeps His promises is hard to understand as we continue to move forward. Today is very hard and painful with the memories of her and the constant reminders that she is not here to do life with us. Not being able to hug her or snuggle with her is so very hard.
Worshiping this morning was very raw and real as we sung about praising Him, that He is the same God and What a beautiful name He has. He is the same God yesterday, today and forever even in the midst of the pain and storm. We are confidant in the solid ground He is for us and continue to trust Him and put our faith in Him even though we can’t always feel and see it every moment.
I pray we can all put our trust in Him the way Briella did. Her faith was so strong because she practiced it daily. She made a choice to put her trust in Him and to repetitively act on that so many times especially during her last 12 weeks. She had such a powerful example of faith and how to live it out.
Briella we love you and miss you always and forever till we meet again.
