Giving Love Like Briella

Briella loved to give to people. It was her way of sharing God’s love. She used her love of art to make so many of her cards/gifts. When she was in 4th grade she did a poetry unit at school and wrote an “Imagine” poem. Part of her “Imagine” poem was “If I could make a drawing for the whole world to see…imagine.” When Briella was in the hospital in November, Child’s Life gave her the opportunity to paint a ceiling tile. The tile came home with us because of her short stay, but was never painted as she wanted to work on Christmas gifts more. The tile was returned to Sanford Children’s. Later because of a friend’s mom working at Sanford Children’s we were asked if we would still like to do a ceiling tile. A few weeks ago some of Briella’s friends got together and painted a ceiling tile in honor of Briella. They decided to use her “imagine” poem drawing which is also her foundation logo. Last week we delivered the ceiling tile to Child’s Life to be put up at the Castle. We also donated 100 of Briella’s coloring books to Child’s Life to give to patients at the Castle. Our prayer is that they would offer joy and hope to the patients there.
